TRA 2018 – A digital era for transport
4 days conference, exhibition, demonstrations and a lot more!

From 16 to 19th April 2018, the 7th Transport Research Arena (TRA) will take place in Vienna, Austria. Digitisation and decarbonisation are high on the agenda of TRA 2018 and this will be reflected across all parts of the conference, as these new dimensions in transport will imply major paradigm shifts for all involved stakeholders involved. Hosted by the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Research and Technology, together with the Austrian Institute of Technology and AustriaTech, the conference will be complemented by an exhibition, poster sessions, interactive formats and live demonstrations of the latest research results. Call for Abstracts now open
21 December 2016 till 21 March 2017
The call for abstracts opens today 21 December 2016 till March 21 2017. Submit your contribution to one or more of the twelve topics and get the chance to discuss about key political key topics in Europe such as shaping the new mobility landscape, digitalisation or decarbonisation. In scientific and technical sessions a broad spectrum of research and innovation activities will range from basic research to application-oriented engineering, social, technical and economic aspects, as well as policies and standards.

TRA VISIONS 2018 invites Young and Senior researchers from all over Europe to submit innovative transport concepts to www.travisions.eu, which was just launched today 20th December 2016 . The two European-funded TRA VISIONS 2018 competitions – one for young researchers and the second for senior researchers – have started their ideation phase. Young and senior researchers throughout Europe are invited to submit innovative concepts on future transport matters until the end of October 2017 to enhance the efficient and sustainable transport and mobility of people and goods.

Get ready for the TRA 2018 Interactive Zone
1st Call open now!
For the first time, TRA 2018 will present an Interactive Zone for hands-on-research, showcases and other various new ways of presenting current research results. The Interactive Zone will form part of the TRA exhibition and also offers also the possibility to present outdoor demonstrations. Interested research organisations, universities and companies are invited to describe their respective ideas and plans via the available template. The call for expression of interest is now open.
