Call for Marketplace Posters at TRA 2018 is now open
Submit your poster by 5th December
Marketplace Posters (MPP) will show innovations and solutions with high market relevance and implementation potential at the TRA 2018 in Vienna. The call for these MPPs has just opened and they can be submitted until 5th December.
The deadline for the submission of full papers for the technical and scientific sessions ended by 2nd October 2017. Following this, the decision from the full paper review will be sent to the authors by 28th November 2017. Due to the high number of full paper submissions, TRA 2018 is still looking for reviewers with high expertise in the field of transport research.
The exhibition space for TRA 2018 offers more than 6,000 m² and, to our delight, this huge area has nearly all been booked up. There are still some booths available from up to 9 m². See the actual floorplan and book your stand in time at TRA 2018.
We are pleased to present BMW as the second Platinum sponsor of TRA 2018. ASFINAG becomes a strategic partner. voestalpine and Kapsch also support the conference as gold sponsors and Siemens Mobility as a bronze sponsor partner. It is not too late to apply to become a sponsor – find all the details of the different packages and the list of sponsors on the TRA Website.
Call is now closed – the demonstration Zone is coming together
The 2nd Call for Interest for the Interactive Zone closed on 15th September. We received more than 50 submissions. The Interactive Zone will be one of the highlights of TRA 2018. It offers a great chance to interactively present state of the art research and technologies to both participants and the media. The heart of the Interactive Zone is the Demonstration & Showcases Zone. Get informed about the next steps!
WATERBORNE is one of the five European transport-related technology platforms recognised by the European Commission. It brings together the industry stakeholders with the EU member states, the European Commission services and stakeholders from science and society. For Bertrand Reydellet, the RDI project manager of SEA Europe, acting for the WATERBORNE-TP Secretariat, the TRA 2018 provides many opportunities: “TRA 2018 will be a unique opportunity for all transport modes to show their innovative equipment and technologies”.
ERRAC comprises 45 representatives from each of the major European rail research stakeholders: manufacturers, operators, infrastructure managers, the European Commission, EU Member States, academics and users’ groups. ERRAC covers all forms of rail transport. We spoke with Andy Doherty, ERRAC Chairman and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Network Rail, about his expectation from Transport Research Arena 2018 in Vienna. “TRA is already the biggest and best forum for transport research”. We are also at TRA 2018 to learn from other transport sectors and to integrate their emerging developments into our programme”.
The deadline for registration and final submission to the TRA VISIONS 2018 Young Researchers competition has been extended to the end of October 2017, so you still have a few weeks to submit your innovative project! However, the deadline for the Senior Research competition has now closed with a record number of submissions.
