The biggest Transport Research Conference in Europe is coming closer. In less than four months, the Transport Research Arena 2018 (TRA 2018) will take place in Vienna, Austria. Registration is now open, the exhibition area is filling up, the programme is now being designed in detail, partners have been fixed and many things are right in the middle of being prepared. Get informed about the latest news concerning the conference in this latest issue of the TRA Newsletter. Christmas is coming up everywhere, including Austria, and Vienna has turned into a city of lights. We wish all our partners a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with a successful TRA 2018!

TRA 2018 will include a broad range of research and innovation activities, from basic research to application-oriented engineering, social, technical and economic aspects, as well as policies and standards. TRA 2018 covers all modes of transport and the presentations will be given in various formats such as plenary, strategic, technical/scientific, invited sessions and a marketplace with posters and events.
The TRA 2018 exhibition offers you insights into the future of transport and mobility. Under the motto “a digital era for transport – solutions for society, economy and environment“, about 3,000 international experts will discuss the latest research results and future developments in mobility and transport. The exhibition hall combines the exhibition area, the new interactive zone, as well as lunch and meeting areas. There are still some booths available starting from 9 m² as you can see at the actual floorplan on the TRA website. Have a look at the impressive list of exhibitors!

Reserve your room in time
To ensure that all participants and visitors have a great time in Vienna, we have selected a contingent of hotels near the venue. The suggested hotels fulfill very high international standards and are located either next to the venue or in the city centre. Since TRA 2018 is aiming to be a Green Event, most of the hotels are also environmentally friendly. The Austropa organisation is helping you to organise a pleasant stay. Please keep in mind that the rooms are only reserved until the end of January. So be fast and reserve the room in your favourite hotel as soon as possible!
