We continue our interview series in this fifth issue of the TRA2018 newsletter. Read below two more interviews with ALICE and ETRA, who are both partners of TRA2018. The TRA2018 will take place at the Reed Messe Wien venue. Hall A is reserved for the exhibition, which offers more than 6,000 m² of exhibition space. The exhibition hall combines the exhibition area, the new Interactive Zone mentioned below, as well as lunch and meeting areas. Booking has already started. You can book an Early Bird Rate up to 31st July 2017. Booths are available from a minimum of 9 m² and will be sold on a first-come first-serve basis.

Interview Series “A Digital Era for Transport”


The European Transport Research Alliance (ETRA) complements existing structures for transport research and innovation provision in Europe by bringing a multi-modal and research-led forum which will contribute to important debates on the future of European transport. The TRA team spoke to three key partners of ETRA who describe the uniqueness of TRA2018. “TRA2018 will manage to bring together the multiple modes of transport, including for the first time the aviation sector, and provide a general view of all forms of transport without losing the concrete aspects of dealing with specific areas of transport”, said Armando Carillo, Secretary General of EURNEX e.V.

On the Road for TRA2018: Silkroad 4.0 as showcase ambassador

The project Silkroad 4.0 demonstrates what “A Digital Era for Transport” can mean. Project-initiator Philipe Reinisch will equip a motorbike and himself with high-tech wearables, gadget and vehicle technology and drive some 10,000 km along the historic Silk Road from Vienna to China.
